Ground Work
Our Ground Work involves an intimate understanding of your horses natural movement and personalised history. Horses have infinite potential to learn and understand direction and leadership, our techniques will lay the foundation for you to build upon. We combine your needs with the natural ability and personality of your equine partner.
Starting Under Saddle
Our goal is to give your horse both an education on the ground and under saddle. By the end of the 6 weeks we like to have the following achieved :
Desensitised.
Lunge both on lead and off lead both directions.
Mouthed / Soft and supple with bit.
Basic Leg yielding understanding.
Walk, trot & canter on a loose rein.
Ride in enclosed and open spaces.
Ride with & without company.
Stopping / Backing.
Opening / Closing Gates.
Horse Behavior Training
If your equine partner needs help with a specific physical or behavioral issue, Horse Behavior Training with SB Performance Horses may be a great option for you. Sessions can be done at our facility or in the space of your own home.
Pre-Training
Pre-training with SB Performance Horses may be a great option for you. We can offer personalised plans to fit your horses needs and the trainer.
